ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF COMPUTER GAMES





Assalamualaikum and good evening to our lecturer and friends. We want to talk about should computer games used in classroom instuction.

Definition of computer games is a ​game that is ​played on a ​computer, in which the ​pictures that ​appear on the ​screen are ​controlled by ​pressing ​keys or ​moving a ​joystick. I strongly believe that computer games are useful in classroom instruction. There are a few benefits of computer games.
Firstly, computer games contain educational learning. Keith Devlin a Stanford  Mathematician, says that “computer games are perfect way to teach math. If you practice a math game, you will get better at math. Computer game can even specialize for certain curriculum with history, math and science to make learning fun.

Children can study with using computer games. Nowadays many computer games are used as an educational tool. And those games are very interesting for children because they use many cartoons and animations. Therefore it is fun and easy way for children to learn new things.

Sorry for pardon your point. In my opinion, computer games are not an effective tool clasroom instruction. Computer games are not an effective learning tool simply because of their name. Even if these activities have educational value, they should not be call games. A lot of educators are too eager to apply high tech solutions to education that might not have any real value towards teaching kids.
On the other hand, computer games are more for entertainment than learning. There can be times when a computer game is educational and can be used as a special treat in the classroom. For the most part, though, games often encourage lack of an attention span and are more for entertainment purposes than for learning. As a special treat, they could be used to help kids learn or apply themselves. When i was in a class computer class in school, we were allowed to pay games once we finished our homework. This encouraged student to apply themselves at the task in order to have a reward at the end.

My thoughts about computer games that firstly it destroys the human eyes because people sit near computer so much time that they don’t care about their health don’t think about their eyes. It also effects on nervous system. Children become more aggressive and they cannot distiguish the real life and virtual. By the way computer games affect students like because they become addicted.

I am agree with your opinion about the healthy but i think computer games only used in classroom but for the other positive affect is there are a lot of computer games that are both fun and educational. If these games are properly used in the classroom they can really help certain student to learn. The games should not over take the classroom but once in a while as a fun alternative is a great idea.
With regards to the positive effects, playing computers games can develop children’s cognitive skills.  Many popular games require abstract and high level thinking skills in order to win, skills that may not be taught at school. For example, children need to follow instructions, solve complex problems and use logic in many of the games that are currently popular.

And the last point is computer games can attracts more attention of children on the subject. As a teacher, they use variable alternative instruction in the classroom. One of the alternative can be used is computer games because the application will show the interesting animation, videos and more. This instrument can give more happy mood for children to learn the subject.

Ikuti kisah penceritaan seorang maknyah mahupun pondan yang telah mendapat hidayah dan kenerkatan daripada Allah S.W.T. Beliau iaitu Muhammad safiudin bin ilias yang dikenali sebagai safiey atau din dan juga dikenali sebagai sofia ketika dirinya menjadi maknyah. Beliau merupakan seorang usahawan muda yang berjaya yang telah mendapat hidayah untuk kembali ke jalan Allah. 

PROGRAM KLK DI PEJABAT MUKIM SG LAKA BAGI PELAJAR UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA



HARI/ TARIKH  : SABTU 17/10/2015
MASA  :  8.30 AM- 5.00 PM
AKTIVITI  : PROGRAM KLK DI PEJABAT MUKIM SG LAKA

Semua unit kokurikulum yang terlibat KLK pada hari tersebut berkumpul di kawasan Pejabat Mukim Sg Laka bagi pergagihan makanan pagi. Pada masa yang sama, semua kumpulan siswaniaga A dan B, bersama-sama menyusun kerusi dan meja dan menyediakan sudut pameran kepada orang ramai.Di samping, terdapat beberapa aktiviti yang bakal dijalankan di Pejabat Mukim Sg. Laka seperti aktivit mewarnai bersama ibu bapa, dan cabutan bertuah.


 Pada tengahari tersebut, kesemua pelajar sibuk dalam menyediakan makanan tengahhari di samping membantu orang kampung menyediakan lauk kepada pelajar. Pelbagai jenis lauk yang disediakan oleh orang kampung. Siswaniaga A dan B harus menyediakan makanan bagi unit kokurikulum yang lain dan orang setiap penghulu kampung bagi setiap mukim akan datang untuk mengambil makanan mereka. Aktiviti ini dapat merapatkan kumpulan siswaniaga A dan B.

Pada jam 5 petang kesemua pelajar bersurai.
